9 Best Ways To Identify Mojo
9 Best Ways To Identify Mojo
should keep in mind about that person:
- Is the person comfortable in his skin? - This is harder to describe than it is to recognize. When a person is comfortable in his own skin, he won’t feel a need to hide anything. There will not be a covering of the face. There will rarely be a posture that could be remotely described as closed, like arms folded. Speaking will be natural, flowing, and confident. Mistakes will be easily recognized, acknowledged, and corrected.
- Does the person treat others well, even if they are little people? - Taxi drivers, waitpeope, bellhops, etc. Anyone who can’t make a big difference in the person’s life. They will always be treated with respect.
- Is the person confident? - When given a problem to solve, a confident person will attack it and come up with an answer. It may or may not be 100% correct the first time, but the confident person will easily recognize the limitations of the answer and acknowledge them.
- Is the person willing to learn, always? - Another way of saying this is curiosity. Does the person dig deeply into a question and try to get a truer understanding of it? Some people choose to learn something new about a favored topic every day. Also a good indicator is a love of reading. I have met people who like to read and they always were lifetime learners.
- Is the person positive and happy? - This is similar to being comfortable in your own skin, but being happy doesn’t require you to be happy with yourself. However, you must project happiness and positivity to others. A smile on the face is the first indicator. Tone of voice is the second.
- Does the person have a record of wins, even if small? - Check the record. A person with mojo always succeeds eventually and that will be evident in the record. Small wins are a part of the record too. They may be a better indicator than big wins because the competition may be easier.
- Does the person accept losses, but not dwell on them? - Admitting an error is a good thing. Moving on is harder, but can be seen in an interview or in a record. If a person comes back to a mistake over and over again as you get to know them, that is a bad sign.
- Is the person physical? - Look at a person. Sometimes, he might be called jittery. This is not always bad; it might be a sign of an active personality. Look for active hobbies like sports. Getting up and illustrating a point through pictures, or even better,, through actions, is great.
- Does the person celebrate accomplishments? - After the fact, it is good to reflect on what has been accomplished and acknowledge every person’s contribution. A person with mojo will not take all the credit, but give it away freely and appropriately.
